East Lane Montessori is a nursery and pre-school for children aged 2 to 5 years, based at BSNL House on East Lane and open 8:50am to 3:10pm, term time only, across 38 weeks a year in line with school terms. It's become a well-known setting for families across North Wembley, many of whom go on to local primary schools nearby.

Our space
Inside, the nursery is arranged into dedicated learning areas rather than one large open room, giving children distinct spaces to settle into activities. Facilities reflect both the EYFS and Montessori curriculum, and the team regularly creates and tries out homemade activities alongside more traditional Montessori materials.

Outdoors
The large enclosed garden is used as an outdoor classroom, where children can move between activities that build physical, emotional and social skills as part of the daily routine rather than a single break outside. It gives the nursery its own outdoor space to return to every day, in addition to whatever families choose to explore around North Wembley at weekends.
North Wembley station is a short walk from the nursery, with Wembley Central also within reach for London Overground and bus connections. Local bus routes serve East Lane and the surrounding streets, and parents can drop off by car nearby.

Across our three nurseries, rooms are set out by age, from calm baby spaces at Rayners Lane and Wembley Park to pre-school areas where a four-year-old works on early counting while a two-year-old practises pouring water from a small jug.

Our baby room is a calm, home-from-home environment where each child has a dedicated key person from day one. Low lighting, sensory play, and a flexible routine built around each baby's natural rhythms.
Toddlers

The toddler room is a busy, curious place. Children explore through messy play, construction, books, and daily outdoor sessions. Language, independence, and friendships develop fast at this age.
Pre-school
Ages 3 to 5 years · 1:8 ratio

Our pre-school room prepares children for the transition to Reception with a balance of structured learning and child-led discovery. We offer 15 and 30-hour funded places for eligible families.

Getting started
Each of our three nurseries combines the EYFS with Montessori learning, where children choose hands-on activities for themselves and stay with them at their own pace. Our team includes qualified teachers, Montessori-trained staff and NVQ practitioners, and speaks several languages, so children from many backgrounds feel at home. At Rayners Lane and Wembley Park, our chefs cook fresh vegetarian meals every day.
We have three nurseries: East Lane in North Wembley, Rayners Lane, and Wembley Park. Let us know which area is nearest to you and we can tell you more about that setting, including its outdoor space.
Rayners Lane welcomes children from 6 months and Wembley Park from 3 months, both up to 5 years. East Lane is a nursery and pre-school for children aged 2 to 5. At every nursery we work closely with local primary schools so the move to Reception is a smooth one.
We'd always encourage a visit before registering, so you can see the rooms, the outdoor space and the daily routine for yourself. Book online or call us on 020 8908 6032 and we'll arrange a time that suits you at your nearest nursery.
Availability depends on the setting and age group, and places across East Lane, Rayners Lane and Wembley Park do fill throughout the year. Fees and funding
Yes. All three nurseries offer the universal 15 hours for 3 and 4 year olds and 30 hours for eligible working families. Rayners Lane and Wembley Park are open 51 weeks a year, so funded hours can be stretched across the year, while East Lane runs in term time. We're happy to talk you through the options for your child.
